National Bank of Malawi (NBM) recently gave K1.5 million to the Institute of People Management in Malawi (IPMM) for its annual lake conference scheduled for early November in Mangochi.
NBM Head of Human Capital Charles Dulira said the IPMM conference offers an opportunity for human resources practitioners to network and discuss topical issues affecting human capital management.
“This conference draws a wide range of company executives and offers an opportunity for us to network and interact with this high-profile group of people who are also decision-makers,” Dulira said.
IPMM President Goodwin Ng’oma thanked NBM plc for the support, saying the money would go a long way in making this year’s conference a success.
“We hope this partnership will continue for the benefit of both parties,” Ng’oma said.
This year’s IPMM conference will be presided over by Vice President Saulos Chilima and will be held under the theme ‘Embracing Professionalism, Ethical Behavior and Integrity in Human Resource Management in the Changing World’.
