Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the NITEL network infrastructure and customer support services for all products and service platforms to NITEL clients.
Tasks will among others include:-
Providing maintenance and support services for all NITEL systems such as Payment Systems, Plant and Equipment, and Software applications,
Prepares installs and deliver equipment and software applications to clients’ sites including site preparation and network set-up
Prepare, install and deliver POS devices at retailers, merchants, banks and other customers
Carry out survey for site installations Install and configure network equipment and train users
Trains retailers/merchants on use of POS devices
Provide Tier-I and Tier-II support for the infrastructure and other Systems
Monitor network links and provide utilisation statistics and availability
Maintain and support network switches
Qualifications
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
University Diploma in Computer Science/ Flectrical Engineering/IT
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following requirements:-
The ideal candidate will be between 22 and 30 years old
Ability to work on different software platforms (Windows, NT, MS OFFICE, LINUX)
Excellent PC hardware and software skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
Good knowledge of POS devices and UEPS S2S software
Ability to analyse and solve problems in constantly changing environment
Displays a responsible attitude to following procedures, keeping records, and caring for equipment and other assets.
