Main Responsibilities
Responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing department, revenue production for the hotel, and meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average room rate (ARR). Manages all areas of sales according to hotel standards to achieve a professional rapport within local and international business community. The Sales& Marketing Executive is a “hands-on” person, actively involved on a daily basis in securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book specific business. The Sales& Marketing Executive central focus is in sales, marketing and development of his/her sales and marketing team.
Principle Accountabilities
To increase brand awareness and loyalty through development, management and maintenance of the Groups customer database.
To effectively manage direct and online selling, (social media marketing).
To maintain Market share leadership through customer share development, new business strategy and application of customer retention and maintenance strategies.
To effectively coordinate and lead an efficient and vibrant internal sales team.
To undertake regular competitor and market analysis by executing effective market surveillance.
To liaise with the Marketing department and group sales team to implement sales promotional activities.
To be visibly supporting marketing and promotional activities for the group.
To partake in Trade shows and internal and external selling of the business.
To ensure customer satisfaction by dispensing customer feedback and coordination with all departments of the Hotel.
To uphold, observe and adhere to Crossroads Hotels’ values.
To construct and apply pricing models that ensure profitability and return on investment.

To formulate and apply yielding models.
To be highly organised through timeous execution of assigned duties.
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
To execute set KRAs at all times.
Skills Attributes
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in marketing/tourism/hospitality management or related field of study
Minimum of 3 years sales and marketing experience in Tourism/Hospitality industry.
Multi tasking-oriented with high learning capacity
Have a good appearance and pleasant personality
Able to work under target pressure and flexibility of work hours
Strong and effective leadership qualities
Class B Drivers license
Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.
