The Public Procurement & Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill various vacant positions tenable at the Authority as follows:
Purpose of the Job
To provide management accounting services for effective and efficient utiliization of financial resources.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare and file statutory, business statistics and other kind of returns as required by legal legislation
Manage the preparation and control of budgets, monthly/ quarterly accounts and reports;
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, capital and other expenditure reports and alert Management on over expenditure;
Provide economic and financial advice in liaison with the Finance Manager;
Liaise with other departments on preparation and circulation of financial information;
Deal with matters pertaining to Insurance Portfolio of the Authority;
Assist in financial analysis of various business initiatives and performance
Prepare periodic financial/management reports;
Prepare analyses and commentaries on monthly, quarterly and annual financial report.;
Ensure secure custody of petty cash
Provide reports/records of redundant and obsolete assets
Qualification, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in either, Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting)
A member of ICAM
At least 5 years relevant experience in cost and financial accounting
Must be a member of ICAM
Requisite Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Self-starer and focused
Ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of legislations and regulations on Public Finance management
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others
Ability to give and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Integrity and honesty
