Group Credit Manager
Reporting to the Group Head of Credit, the successful candidate will support in the delivery of robust Credit Risk Management across countries in the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the highest standard of credit quality through the structure, sanctioning, monitoring, and control of Wholesale credit applications.
Work in partnership with Country Leadership teams to support asset growth consistent with strategy-aligned risk appetite.
Perform scheduled and event triggered monitoring activities in line with the Bank’s governance requirements for credit quality assurance and strong risk management.
Coaching support For credit risk and business staff through driving participation and/or facilitating sessions for all stakeholders,
Lead and/or actively participate in Country early warning list Forums designed to facilitate monitoring and control at an individual account level with a view to determining the seriousness of the Features observed and for appropriate corrective action to be taken
Workin partnership with Country Business and Credit Risk teams to help drive business strategy, provide advice, identify opportunities, set risk appetite, and deepen client relationships.
Technical Skills/Competencies
Understanding of Loan underwriting, financial analysis, business analysis, product knowledge, risk control, and portfolio management.
Understanding credit risk mitigation and wholesale business Financing mechanisms
Good written and oral skills
Good leadership and people skills
Understanding credit and country risk management. processes
Broad understanding of banking systems, processes, procedures and practices.
Knowledge of applicable statutes, laws and regulations governing lending activities in the market.
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word with experience in presentation writing and client analysis
Qualifications and Requirements
Post graduate degree in Commerce, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Risk management.
5 years’ experience in handling Wholesale credit approvals and credit committee presentations
Strong and in-depth understanding of credit and business analysis, data analysis and visualization
