Finance Manager – Assets and Income Accounting
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain a strong financial control environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all income for the bank is being captured completely and accurately In the general ledger
Perform end-to-end income reconciliations for all service lines and follows up on all issues identified
Ensure that all billable products and services are duly invoiced and receivable balances thereof are timely settled.
Ensure correct billing of all products and services by comparing system charges with the price list.
Working Capital management
Develop, oversee, and maintain a cordial relationship with the company’s receivables.
Manage all intercompany balances, transactions and reports thereof.
Monitor the company’s debtor boot in line with set targets.
Receivables Management
Reviews monthly key receivable reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are followed up and cleared.
Financial Management
Develop and present divisional budget and business plans
Analyse, coordinate and conduct performance reviews with other Sections to ensure alignment of income performance to the budget.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of IFRSs and changes in local and international financial reporting regulations
Knowledge of internal control environment
Knowledge of excel for transaction analysis
Knowledge of any Accounting System and
Analytical and problem solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi
5 years Experience in Financial Accounting, Reporting or related areas at senior Management level.
