To provide quality financial accounting support
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Diploma in Accounting
Computer literacy including accounting package preferably Sage 300
Having worked in a similar position for at least three years
Description of Tasks
Petty cash management
Disbursing petty cash upon requisition authorisation
Collecting receipts for all petty cash disbursed
Replenishing petty cash when due
Stamping ‘paid’ all paid petty cash vouchers
Reconciling of petty cash control account.
Donor refund management
Replenishing donor transport refunds
Reconciling donor transport refunds control account Stores management
Issuing and receiving inventories in the stores /sage 300
Updating bin cards
Identifying obsolete (expired) and damaged stocks
Preparing monthly stock report showing opening stock, receipts, issues and closing stock
Costing all stock items still in stock
Must establish and give details of possible reorder requirements
Maintain Fixed Assets Register
Update and maintain fixed assets register for the centre in liaison with the Head Office.
Label all fixed assets, well traceable to the register in terms of values and location.
Recommend for disposal of old, damaged assets
Financial accounting
Disbursing funds for centre activities.
Issuing receipts for all activities of the centre
Reconciling expenditures with receipts to payment vouchers
Banking cash/cheques for the centre
General
Safeguarding assets of the organisation
Reads and complies with all relevant policies and SOPs and signs that these have been understood.
Complies with all relevant aspects of the Quality management System.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
