The Public Procurement & Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill various vacant positions tenable at the Authority as follows:
Purpose of the Job:
To be responsible for managing and implementing E-Procurement systems, networks and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Carrying out system development and modification to enhance existing systems
Carrying out installation and configunaion of systems and applications related to E-Procurement
Monitoring and maintaining the effective performance of ICT equipment, systems and applications supporting E-Procurement activities
Uploading procurement notices and awards on the website
Performing routine audits of systems and software applications and servers: and upgrading them when necessary
Providing advice on matters relating to E-Procurement systems
Providing user support and training to staff
Undertaking disaster recovery of electronic data and Information
Compiling periodic reports
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems, Electronic Engineering or comparable degree of professional qualification
At least 3 years post qualification related knowledge with two of those in systems development and programming
Requisite Knowledge, Abilities and skills
Proficiency in 3 Accounting Software, Database Administration, Network Administration, Windows System Administration, Linux Systems Administration, Software Development, Web Development, Database Development, Business Requirements Analysis, IT Project planning and management; Internet technologies and network infrastructure
Knowledge of computer operating systems including Windows
Ability to trouble shoot ICT networks, systems and hardware
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Good inter-personal Skills
Analytical, accurate, and deadline driven
Ability to act promptly on ICT issues
Ability to pay attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills.
