1. The Government of Malawi has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Sustainable Fisheries, Aquaculture Development and Watershed Management, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction and Rehabilitation of Sanitation,
Shelter and storage Facilities at Chipamila, Ngala, Chilumba, Tukombo, Liwaladzi, Ngala, Kamfumu, Chikombe, Senga-Bay, Chilambula, Malembo, Msaka and Makawa Fish Landing Sites.

2. The Chairperson of Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets Committee (Civil Works) of Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources on behalf of The Government of the Republic of Malawi invites sealed tenders from eligible Tenderers who are currently registered as Building Contractors with the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi in the 500 Million Kwacha Category and above.

3. The Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the following Lots:

LOT 1: Construction and rehabilitation of Sanitation, Shelter and Storage facilities at Chipamila, Ngala and Chilumba fish landing sites in Karonga District;- Contract No. 19/2021.

LOT 2: Construction and rehabilitation of Sanitation, Shelter and Storage facilities at Tukombo, Liwarazi and Chia fish landing sites in Nkhatabay and Nkhotakota Districts;- Contract No. 20/2021.

LOT 3: Construction and rehabilitation of Sanitation, Shelter and Storage facilities at Senga-Bay, Chilambula, Kamfumu and Chikombe Fish Landing Sites in Salima Districts; – Contract 21/2021 and

LOT 4: Construction and rehabilitation of Sanitation, Shelter and Storage facilities at Malembo, Msaka and Makawa Fish Landing Sites in Mangochi Districts. – Contract No. 22/2021.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (National), OCB procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework,October 2015, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The Project Coordinator, Project Implementation Unit, Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources, Department of Fisheries (Capital Hill), Department of Fisheries Building, P.O Box 593, Lilongwe, Malawi and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 09:30 to 16:30 hours at the address given below.

6. The Bidding Document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders from 10th November 2021 upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of MK20,000.00. The method of payment will be Cash or cashier’s check. The document will be collected after proof of payment has been submitted

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14:00 hour’s local time on 11th December, 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 14:00 hours on Thursday 11th December, 2021.

8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Thirteen Million (MK13, 000,000.00) for Lot 1, Six Million (MK6, 000,000.00) for Lot 2, Twelve Million (MK12, 000,000.00) for Lot 3 and Ten Million (MK10, 000,000.00) for Lot 4.
