Air Cargo Malawi Ltd (ACM) was incorporated in 1979, in accordance with the Companies ACT of Malawi CAR46:03. The mandate of ACM : to provide safe and reliable carriage of goods by Air, ancillary services and promote any commercial activity beneficial to the business of the company.
SUMMARY OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Services Supervisor, the positions are tenable at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) offices in Lilongwe and Chileka International Airport offices in Blantyre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accepts and delivers cargo and all mail in accordance with standard procedures.
Checks loading and offloading of cargo manifested for all flights and completes files and inward freight report.
Prepares arrival notification and advises the importers or their agents accordingly
Instructs Porters to place cargo as required.
Conducts weekly warehouse stock check.
Attends to cargo inquiries from importing customers and agents
Performs any other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
MSCE with credits in English, Mathematics and Geography
Ability to communicate in English and write reports
Must be aged between 21-30 years
Computer literate
Diploma in Transport and Logistics or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
OTHER ATTRIBUTES
Must be physically fit
Person of high integrity
Willing to work on shifts and odd hours
Team work.
Successful candidates will undergo induction training and write an examination at the end.
