POSITION: RECONCILIATION ADMINISTRATOR
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Reconciliation Administrator will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the organization has an up-to-date and well reconciled accounts that supports management reports and financial statements.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES
Ensuring that all loan accounts and deposits accounts are timely reconciled and that listing balances (Currently-T24 R14) tally with general ledger balances (Sun system).
Ensure that all general ledger/internal accounts have been reconciled, reviewed and filed properly.
Offer training to branches and business units that
Struggle with reconciliations
Compile a monthly reconciliation file and audit schedules files for use by both internal and external auditors.
Developing an audit implementation action plan and monitoring its progress investigating and report fraud where the reconciliation reveals such malpractice.
Facilitating and coordinating the GL Mapping in the 124 system.
Analysis the current operating software and develop systems in liaison with the ICT in eliminating bottlenecks and improving thee operating efficiency.
System developments in product developments, general architecture and infrastructure ledger creation, chart of accounts amendments
Devising simple and less time consuming reconciliation techniques and tools using computer skills and impacting the same knowledge to the team
MIS coordinating between ICT and Finance depts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
University Degree in Accounting/Banking plus
3 years experience in reconciliations in a busy financial institution
Hands on experience in T24 RI4 Version or any banking system
Conversant with Microsoft Windows (Excel, Word, Power Point, and access)
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Demonstrate and personal integrity trustworthiness
Should have training/coaching skills
Must have highest level of integrity.
