POSITION: TEMPORARY HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Location: Secretariat, Lilongwe
Reporting to: Human Resources Manager.
Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM) is an indigenous, non-profit making, and non-political Malawian local NGO established in 1999 that exists to provide comprehensive integrated youth friendly sexual and reproductive health rights information and services to young people aged between 10 and 24 in the rural underserved communities using static and community-based approaches.
We are looking for an HR & Admin Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources and Administration Department for a period of six months initially with a possibility of extension depending on availability of funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Human Resources department with staff recruitment and development
Maintenance of staff records
Management of staff insurances
Ensure that the Association’s fixed assets are well maintained, safeguarded and insured
Ensure that the association’s policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff
Ensure that the Association’s fixed assets are well maintained at all times
Work hand in hand with finance department in all payroll related issues
Ensure that administrative and human resources procedures follow principles of good governance while ensuring speedy delivery of services.
Work hand in hand and support programs staff and the association’s governance structures whenever necessary
REQUIREMENTS
Three year’s experience in Human resources and administrative roles
Basic knowledge of labor legislation
Experience using spreadsheets
Organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Banking or any other related field.
