Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lilongwe
Job Type: Permanent
Job description
❖ Pursue opportunities to obtain tender documents
❖ Prepare and submit tender documents
❖ Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender
❖ Take off quantities
❖ Prepare and issue material supply enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
❖ Pricing of bills of quantities
❖ Post tender negotiations
❖ Maintain contract documentation and advise on pretender and post contract matters
❖ Preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and / or sub-contractors
❖ Post contract liaison with clients
❖ Carry out take offs for material procurement
❖ Preparation and submission of interim and final valuations
❖ Manage and value variations
❖ Manage project teams
Qualifications and competencies required
✓ Diploma in Quantity and 3 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity
Surveying with 1 year experience
✓ Proven knowledge in use of computer packages such as Microsoft excel, MS word,
and MS project
✓ Ability to work under pressure and willing to work during odd hours.
