CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO CONDUCT EVALUATION FOR THE YOUNG WOMEN IN ACTIVE POLITICS PROJECT (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
NCA-DCA Joint Country Programme invites qualified consultants to express their interests to conduct an end of project evaluation for the ‘Young women in active politics’ project. The Project has been implemented for four years (2018-2021). The overall objective of the end of project evaluation Is to assess the extent to which the Young Women in Active Politics project has achieved its outputs, outcomes and impact as stipulated in the project results framework. The evaluation shall also assess the extent to which the project has contributed to the achievement of the DCA Malawi Country Programme (2016 to 2020) objective of: Marginalised citizens effectively engage duty bearers in creating a democratic, accountable, and just Malawian society, and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda Goal 5 target 5.5 “Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic and public life” as well as target 5.c “Adopt and strengthen sound policies and enforceable legislation for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls at all levels”.
Required Expertise.
The desired qualifications and experience are as follows:
At least a master’s degree in Developmental studies, Social Science, Social Work/Community Development/Project Management, or any other relevant qualification.
Experience in evaluating similar community development project funded by development partners In Malawi and in the Sub- Saharan region.
Knowledge and analytical skills to review programmes in related discipline.
Clear understanding of gender equality, politics, youth development, empowerment legal and policies frameworks in Malawi
Knowledge of women’s rights, gender and international conventions and standards on the same
Demonstrated experience with quantitative and Qualitative Research.

NCA-DCA shall only consider consultants who shall obtain the Request for Proposal by the stated date.
Closing date for receipt of complete proposals is 12.00hrs on 13 October 2021. All late proposal shall be rejected.
