FUND ACCOUNTANT
CAM is seeking a mature, dynamic, flexible and highly motivated individual with special interest in the financial services industry to fill the position of Fund Accountant. The Fund accountant will be responsible for the daily transaction processing of all stand-alone funds and reporting to the funds in accordance
with the respective investment management agreements.
Summary of key responsibilities
• Preparation of monthly fund accounts for pension funds and special purpose funds.
• Preparation of fund performance reports at intervals specified in the agreements.
• Regular monitoring of portfolio structure of the funds against client mandates.
• Act as a liaison between CAM and internal/external auditors of the various funds
• Ensuring daily bank reconciliations for all funds are done.
• Preparation of internal reports.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and person specifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field from a recognized institution.
Those pursuing a Chartered Accountant qualification will have an added advantage.
Minimum of two years working experience.
Attention to detail, problem analysis and problem solving skills.
Be self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result oriented track record.
Excellent planning and self-organization skills to be able to plan and organize work at operational level to deliver work within agreed timescales and standards.
